Project Superintendent

Opportunity:

As our Project Superintendent, your key focus is to manage and oversee 7-8 paving jobs simultaneously. You will coordinate with estimators, foremen, and material suppliers to ensure all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and achieved with client satisfaction. Your thorough understanding of asphalt paving, along with a keen sense of business management will have a positive impact on the profitability of our projects. Work closely with the Project Management team to deliver quality services to our customers.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage projects, people, and relationships that will drive new business through client satisfaction.
  • Review development strategy and track project elements for completion on schedule and on budget.
  • Complete internal field paperwork and communication with general contractors in order to maintain a thorough and organized process.
  • Maintain the bid/sales schedule.
  • Write process change orders.
Success Factors
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience within the construction industry.
  • Asphalt experience and knowledge of preparation, grading, and paving operations.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent in reading blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction is desired.
  • Computer skills required with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and job costing software.
  • Process and detail oriented with a problem solving mentality
  • Professional communication style who can manage people and processes effectively..

Estimator

Location: Noblesville, IN

Opportunity:

As a member of the Sales & Estimating Team, you will prospect & schedule with property managers and building owners. You will also estimate incoming leads during peak times. Converting leads to closed projects is the desired end result. Provide estimating expertise while ensuring the process is enjoyable for the building owner will grow your base of satisfied clients and referrals!

Key Accountabilities
  • Prospect for new business by visiting property managers and proposing new paving projects.
  • Create precise estimates using your attention to detail and asphalt expertise.
  • Maintain relationships with key contacts in the construction industry.
  • Assist with project and operations management as needed.
  • Build a faithful client portfolio that generates repeat business and referrals.
Success Factors
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with an asphalt/paving subcontractor.
  • Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience.
  • Previous experience in a customer facing role required.
  • Experience in estimating and operations management a plus.
  • Must be detail oriented & able to work effectively under deadlines.
  • Professional writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Process oriented with a problem solving mentality.
  • Adaptable and able to switch gears effectively.

Dump Truck Driver

Categories: Full Time
Salary: Based on Experience
Location: Indianapolis

Job Information
  • Required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
  • Safely operate Class A or B truck to transport asphalt or aggregate to job site
  • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition
  • Maintains driver log according to ICC regulations as required
  • Daily maintenance of truck inside and out
  • Assist construction crews while waiting to unload
  • Report information accurately and completely on daily time cards, truck cab information and other needed paperwork
  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/DOT regulations for safe working procedures and environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written)
  • Ability to read maps and navigate to new locations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
